In the framework of XXXVIII cycle, Doctoral School offers 16 PhD programmes connected to four research areas: Civil Engineering & Architecture; Information and Communications Engineering; Industrial Engineering; Physical, Chemical and Mathematical Sciences for Engineering. All the PhD programmes of the XXXVII cycle will start on 1st November 2022.
Politecnico di Torino is administrative seat of two national PhD programmes:
  • Artificial Intelligence, which represents the first national initiative about this topic. The programme was launched in July 2020 from the collaboration among CNR, Università di Pisa, Università di Roma Sapienza, Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Università di Napoli “Federico II” and Politecnico di Torino.
  • Materials, Sustainable Processes and Systems for the Energy TransitionThe programme was launched in July 2022 from the collaboration among Università di Roma La Sapienza, Università degli studi di Bologna, Università degli studi di Torino, Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II, Università del Salento, Università degli studi del Piemonte Orientale “Amedeo Avogadro” Vercelli, Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (I.N.R.I.M.), Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) and Politecnico di Torino.
Politecnico di Torino is also partner in the establishment of doctorates of national interest in which the main Italian universities and important research institutions and enterprises are involved.
