Intellectual Property
The ownership of industrial and intellectual property rights, resulting from research activities of PhD students, is regulated in compliance with those provisions concerning industrial and intellectual property rights set out in University Regolations, and with what provided in agreements established by the University.

Unless otherwise provided for in agreements established with third parties, all industrial and intellectual property rights, resulting from activities in which PhD students may be involved, will be exclusive property of Politecnico di Torino. Except as otherwise provided for in copyright legislation, and without prejudice to the moral right of PhD students who have made the invention and have been recognized as inventors, Politecnico is also the exclusive owner of property rights resulting from the inventions made; in case property rights resulting from the invention generate proceeds, one-off compensations, to be defined on the basis of students' contribution to the invention, is recognized to PhD students.
