The call for application for admission to the XXXVI cycle PhD programmes is online:
 

The call for application provides information related to PhD programmes, positions and scholarships available for the upcoming PhD cycle, and modalities for taking part to the selection and mandatory deadlines.
After having read the call, you can apply through the procedure Apply.
The call for admission is divided into two separate sessions: the spring session and the summer session. A third selection process can be scheduled. Applicants who accepted an offer of admission for a position in the Spring session or in the Summer session cannot take part in the third selection process.
The application deadline were on:
  • February 13, 2020 for the spring session
  • May 14, 2020 for the summer session
Selected applicants may benefit from scholarships assigned on a merit basis and depending on the expertise in the concerned research field, according to the candidate's position in the final ranking list. Those who are offered a fully funded PhD position within the spring session of the call, may receive a pre-PhD scholarship with a maximum duration of six months.

PhD candidates without scholarships shall comply with the same obbligations applyied to PhD candidates with scholarship. They have to attend courses and carry out research activities, as provided by the Academic Board. 
Available positions are divided into:
  • Ordinary positions
    • Fully funded PhD position with own research topic; 
    • Fully funded PhD position with predefined research topic; 
    • Positions for Ph.D. in apprenticeship;
    • Positions without scholarship.
  • Reserved positions
    • Positions reserved to candidates with a non-Italian academic certification (2nd Level)
    • Positions reserved to recipients of  scholarships granted by national or international governmental or public institutions, who are found eligible to be admitted in a Ph.D. programme;
    • Positions reserved to research fellows;
    • 12 PhD positions reserved to Chinese citizens graduated in a Chinese university recipients of a scholarship granted by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) - POLITO - PHD - CHINA Project.
Some positions are reserved to candidates selected by special Boards within the framework of specific international programmes in which Politecnico di Torino is involved.
